• It is made for our youngest children: With traditional removable braces (not to be confused with removable aligners!) we treat children at an age when their jaws are still growing. Orthodontics can support or inhibit the growth of the jaw, depending on the diagnosis. With the loose braces we also help Munich children and their parents to break bad habits more easily. These include thumb sucking and lip biting, which are popular among small children. If your child breathes primarily through their mouth instead of their nose, we can use braces to promote healthy nasal breathing in orthodontics. In some cases, removable braces are also used as gap holders in children's orthodontics. If young patients have lost a baby tooth prematurely, for example due to an accident or tooth decay, braces can act as a placeholder to keep the gap free until the permanent tooth grows. The ability of removable braces lies primarily in the stretching and positioning of the jaws! The limits of its power, however, lie in the tooth movement: While a slight tooth tilt is still possible, the tooth roots can hardly be moved with it, so that tooth displacement then becomes the task of the further fixed braces.
